![]() The dining room looked cold and devoid of any personality(even given covid restrictions) When we were shown to our table we sat for ages waiting for someone to notice us. While the room was fine with lovely views up Loch Linhe the restaurant was sadly lacking and seemed under a lot of stress. Sadly this was not reflected in our stay. We booked this hotel for a one night stay on the strength of glowing reviews from (10s and 9s). It comes piping hot and plentyful and just sets you up for the day.Ĭan't recommend this place enough it's not posh, its quality.ĭisappointing stay at The Inn at Ardgour 2 years ago You could take breakfast early or up to 10am, so get on exploring or just chill. We wanted coffee outside, not a problem to them. The staff friendly, atmosphere spot on, food fabulous, and lots of the local broo available at the bar. It was at the front of the hotel, so simply the best view you will get anywhere. ![]() En suite was lovely and spotless, shower not a bath. Room was large, had everything you need, tea/coffee etc, hair dryer/ bath towels and hand towels. Our bedroom had a full king size bed, really comfy, there was a bunk in there as well so plenty of room for a couple of kids. It looks like an old fashioned Inn, and feels that way when you arrive in reception.Ī warm welcome awaits, not just in reception, but in the bar/restaurant and the following morning at breakfast. The hotel is on the shore of the loch with a perfect view of Ben Nevis in the distance. It's all part of the experience though and trust me, well worth it. Quick tip if you approach the hotel from the A82 you need to catch the ferry, £10 each way. We booked this place last minute, directly with the hotel, really friendly over the phone. ![]() The Inn can be reached by road without taking the ferry, going via Fort William and Locheilhead. The ferry runs twice and hour from 0620 hours until 2130 hours and takes just three minutes to carry up to 40 cars at a time across Loch Linnhe. Please note that the quickest way to reach the Inn is via the Corran Ferry. We also have a comfortable residents lounge and a welcoming bar area. But best of all are the stunning views of the mountains bordering Loch Linnhe that can be seen from every bedroom. All rooms have colour TV, hair dryer and coffee/tea making facilities. Five rooms are situated on the ground floor with the remainder on the first floor. There are eleven excellent en-suite bedrooms, ranging from Doubles and Twins, to Family rooms. All meals our prepared by our chefs and use locally grown produce when possible. Our loch-view restaurant, offers a wide range of cuisine, including traditional scottish fayre and a selection of fine wines. Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Neptunes Staircase are all close by as are the towns of Oban and Fort William. The Isles of Skye and Mull are both within easy reach for a day trip and Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula are all less than thirty minutes away. ![]() In it's beautiful location next to the Corran Ferry in the lovely village of Ardgour, the Inn is ideal for exploring the West Highlands. For centuries, travellers have enjoyed the famous West Highland welcome at this family-run inn, at the entrance to the 'Great Glen'. ![]()
