What can your fans expect from you for the rest of the year and in 2018? She brought me on as well as a World Vision rep.”ĭo you have any more trips planned with World Vision? I first got involved with them through a family friend, who runs Kids Share Workshops, an amazing organization who helps kids dream through art. We were just waiting for the right time to see the kids and have me perform. “I have been in talks with them for a few years. How did you first get involved in World Vision? I cannot wait to watch him grow and visit him in Zambia soon!” “My role as Youth Ambassador is to meet with the kids whenever I can to sing for them and help out in their community. “If I could have written any song, it would have to be Diamonds by Rihanna and written by Sia.”Ĭan you tell us a little about your role as Youth Ambassador for World Vision? If you could have written any song ever, what would it be? I love the sass of the song too and how it has a Spanish influence. I love “Havana” by Camia Cabello right now. What is your favorite song on the radio now? Why? All these women are such hard workers and it inspires me to be better every day.” I also like how Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus can play the guitar or piano while they sing a song. I love how Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna incorporate dancing in their stage performance. “My music icons are, of course, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga. I love his Reggaeton influence and his melodies are so catchy.” I also would love to collaborate with Sean Paul. She is one of the most influential songwriters in my life. I would love to hear my songs being played on the radio as well.” Another would be to headline my own tour someday. Another would be to have my song on the Billboard Top 100 charts. One would be to sell out a stadium one day. “I think I have many goals as a musician. What are some of your goals as a musician? To read the rest of the interview click under the jump! I always have concepts in my phone and melody ideas that I bring into a session. “It really depends on what I am feeling that day. What would you say your song writing process is like? My trip to Zambia inspired the amazing music video in which all the kids were involved.” Hearing the kids singing along and dancing to Glow really brought the song to life. I wrote the song in Nashville when I was fourteen. I brought my song Glow with me to inspire the kids. World Vision and Kids Share Workshops sponsored my trip to perform for the kids there. “I got to travel to Lusaka, Zambia in Africa. The song was apparently influenced by your trip to Zambia, what about that trip inspired the song? Glow is a feel-good song that has helped me through my struggles of bullying and self-doubt.” It is about people going out and dreaming big and letting their inner colors shine and glow. “‘Glow’ is a song I wrote about always being who you are truly meant to be and not letting anybody else get in the way of that.
